STUDENT ACTIVITIES
The Journalism and Mass Communication Department of MERI College is dedicated to providing hands-on learning experiences through regular practical sessions. The department emphasizes experiential learning, allowing students to develop essential media skills both inside and outside the classroom. Known for its vibrant and dynamic approach, the college encourages students to participate in a wide range of out-of-classroom activities, including news writing, feature writing, script writing, and press release drafting. Students also engage in news anchoring, TV reporting, reel making, film production, and documentary creation, fostering creativity and technical expertise. These activities help bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world media practices, preparing students for the fast-paced world of journalism and mass communication. With a strong focus on industry-oriented training, MERI College ensures that its students are well-equipped with the confidence, skills, and experience needed to excel in various media professions.
