MEDIA HOUSE VISITS

At MERI College, experiential learning is a key aspect of the BA in Journalism and Mass Communication (BA JMC) program. To bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world media practices, the college regularly organizes visits to renowned news channels such as Aaj Tak, India TV, News18, and Doordarshan. These educational visits offer students a rare opportunity to witness the fast-paced world of broadcast journalism up close.

During these interactions, students gain valuable insights into newsroom operations, production workflows, live broadcasting, and the coordination required to deliver accurate and timely news. They also get to observe how editorial decisions are made and how technology supports the news delivery process. Meeting industry professionals and observing their roles in action inspires students and deepens their understanding of television journalism. Such exposure not only enhances their academic experience but also prepares them to step confidently into the professional media landscape.
